CODESIGNLAB develops research by design projects developing a parametric approach with the aim to explore the interaction between natural materials,  digital fabrication processes and smart construction systems.
this approach is oriented to investigate on performative structures analysing the cause-effect relation between form and performance.
we  explore the use of  natural and  recycled materials for digital fabrication in architecture in order to evolve traditional technologies and to customise solutions optimising resources. our agenda includes a design to make approach on smart construction systems integrating the structural design within the ecological concepts in architecture. we strongly believe that applied researches, in order to be sustainable, have to be shared therefore most of our projects involve local communities with the aim of developing social innovation
